The three clubs gathered at The Drum Youth Centre in Kilkenny and RTE presenter Geri Maye introduced the organisation as one boasting 45 clubs and with 15,000 members across the country. The TV audience heard the No Name Club runs a wide variety of activities for members and this allows them develop a healthy social life and make the right life choices.

Marian Treacy of Finglas No Name Club explained the clubs are in the hands of their teenager members aged 15-18, and adults provide the support in facilitating the young people’s lifestyle choices.

Joe Shine, Dungarvan No Name Club host and the Host of the Year 2010, told Geri he became involved after his brother and sister were members. He described the organisation as “great fun” and said the activities vary a lot, explaining you could be bowling one week, camping another, ice-skating another, or you could be preparing or attending national events such as the National Youth Awards or Supertalent.
