Wake-A-Thon in Ballinrobe

There’ll be little sleep in Ballinrobe this weekend. The local No Name Club will be using all their strength and energy to stay awake and raise valuable funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Over 25 hosts and hostesses, accompanied by their adult leaders, will take part in a wake-a-thon that will run from 8pm on Friday evening to 8am Saturday morning. The event is taking place at Ballinrobe Community School and a bouncy castle, play station, card games, music and modern dance will be among the entertainment to help keep those participating awake. Temple Street has been chosen because it is providing great care to six month old Marc, a patient of the hospital and a Godson of Club Secretary Eilish McKenna. The Host or Hostess who raises the most money for the children’s hospital will receive a prize of €50. Best of luck to all involved.
