Ireland has the fifth highest rate of suicide in Europe and latest figures show suicide is now the leading cause of death in young Irish men aged 15 to 24 years. In response to the prevalence of suicide among Irish youth, No Name Club, the national voluntary organisation providing alcohol and drug free activities for young people, delivered training and information to recognise and respond to teen suicidal behaviour at its National Youth Conference in Croke Park this weekend, attended by over 170 volunteers and youth leaders.

Pictured is RTE Presenter and No Name Club Patron Aidan Power addressing the conference. Photo taken by Philip Leonard in Croke Park Dublin on Saturday 25th October 2008. Photo Credit to Philip Leonard please.
