Tralee’s Tidy Town

Tralee No Name Club has literally left its mark on the community. The Co Kerry club has formed a partnership with the Tidy Towns Tralee Committee and is enhancing the local community ahead of the Tidy Towns Competition. Eight members of the club took part in a clean-up of a busy car park in the centre of the town on Tuesday, May 17th. The hosts and hostesses joined with adult leaders to take out their shovels and hedge clippers and tidy Garvey’s car park – a busy hub in the centre of the town. Any weeds in the car park were removed and hedges were clipped to leave it in excellent condition for those using the facility. The club plans on engaging further with Tralee Tidy Towns Committee to carry out more acivitity within their community. Members of Killarney No Name Club made the journey to Tralee to give their neighbours a helping hand with the clean-up. “Through their involvement with the No Name Club, our hosts and hostesses are being encouraged to take an active role in the community and they are taking great enjoyment from it,” Karen O’Leary, Tralee club treasurer explained.
