Swinford teens tackle Gardaí

Local competitveness and sportsmanship will come to the fore this week in Swinford, Co Mayo, when No Name Club members and Gardaí compete against each other in a soccer tournament. Sixty people are participating in the five-a-side football tournament that is taking place in Swinford Community Centre on Thursday, September 9th. Ten teams are taking part in the event, with 40 members of the No Name Club participating and 20 members of the local Gardaí also playing. Kick-off for the knock-out competition is at 7.30pm and the tournament is expected to run until around 10pm. We wish all involved the very best success with the event.
