The Hosts and Hostess of Ballyjamesduff No Name Club were out over the weekend to sell, sell, sell and in doing so successfully raised over €900 for the County Cavan club. Its members organised a jumble sale that was held in St Joseph’s Parish Hall on Saturday May 28th and saw a wide variety of goods collected from local businesses and people and sold in aid of the No Name Club. Featured on the day was a bric-a-brac stall, children’s toys, pictures frames, fathers day cards, teddybears, cushions, books and even sofas! There was a very good response to the sale from the local community and over €900 was raised and will go towards the running of activities for the club over the Summer months. The sale also featured a raffle, with the first prize being a Playstation portable, the second being a hamper of goodies, and the third a tin of biscuits.
Club chairman David Cahill is pictured below presenting the hamper to prizewinner Margaret Daly.
