“Overwhelming Response” to New Club

Wondering is there demand for No Name Clubs around the country? The newly established Kildare Town No Name Club gives a very good indication as to the interest there is in communities to having clubs that can provide teenagers with fun and healthy activities that allow them to get together and make friends. The club recently held an open night in the town to let teenagers know about the club and what it can offer them. Over 70 young people turned out to find out about it and the response from those in attendance was very enthusiastic. Sharon Fitzpatrick, Chairperson of the recently affiliated Club, said there has been an “overwhelming response” from young people in Kildare Town towards their newest club. It is now going from strength-to-strength, and the club will soon be meeting with the local chamber of commerce to inform them of the No Name Club and the benefits it can bring to the local town. Two teenage members will represent the club at the meeting and local businesses and organisations have shown a keen interest in the newly established body. Pictures from the open evening, which was held on May 17th in The Daycare Centre in Kildare Town, can now be viewed below.
