Newbridge’s Egg Hunt

An Easter Egg hunt will take place in Newbridge on Saturday April 23rd and have families scurrying about The Strand Park looking for eggs.

The event has been organised by Newbridge No Name Club and will be a day of fun and excitement for young people and their families. It will take place from 3pm to 5pm and entry will cost €3 per family.

Replica eggs that have been decorated by the club will be placed around the park and it will be the job of the families and their children to find them. When eggs are found, they will be returned to the club and Easter eggs will then be exchanged.

“This is will be a day of fun for families and young children and we hope to see a great crowd out supporting it,” Anne Byrne, Newbridge No Name Club Secretary explained. “The teenage members of the No Name Club hope this brings people from the community together for a fun activity day.”

An egg and spoon race to bring the competitive instincts of the adults out is also planned for the day.
