Killarney’s walk of hope

‘Walking for Nathan’ is taking place in Killarney this coming weekend and will see participants walk/run from darkness into light. Killarney No Name Club is taking part in the event, which is being held for the first time this year. It is in aid of Pieta House, the centre for the prevention of self-harm or suicide, and is in remembrance of  Killarney teenager called Nathan O’Carroll. The 5km walk/run is a symbolic event that will look to give hope to those affected by suicide and self harm. It will begin at the Brehon Hotel at 4.30 am (early morning) and will continue into Killarney National Park. Over 20 hosts and hostesses and adult leaders from Killarney No Name Club are expected to take part. All the best to those involved.
