Indoor temperatures look set to soar in Gort this weekend. Members of the Galway town’s No Name Club are set to take the heat and step into the kitchen as they embark upon a cooking initiative with the local group of the Irish Countrywomen’s Association. It will be a meeting of generations as the women of the ICA will look to teach the teenage members of the No Name Club valuable culinary skills and experience they have picked up over the years. Both groups will be getting together this Saturday, December 11th, at the ICA Hall in Gort. Eight dishes will be prepared and cooked during the event and the hope is the No Name Club teenagers will bring the culinary skills they learn with them as they move into adulthood. It looks set to be a valuable life-learning experience for the young people.
