Donegal’s music and activity weekend

The enjoyment, activity and fun created by Donegal No Name Club over a November weekend has now been captured in two galleries. On the weekend of Friday November 12th, the club organised a disco for club members and teenagers living in the town and its hosts, hostesses and adult leaders also travelled to the wilds of Connemara for two days of activity, fun and friendship.

The disco was held at the Pier 1 Complex in Donegal Town on the Friday and brought around 175 young people to the event. DJ Glenn played the music on the night and a great time was enjoyed by all. The fun and excitement of the event can be viewed by clicking here.

The following day, Saturday November 13th, 30 hosts and hostesses from the club travelled to the Delphi Mountain Resort in Connemara along with adult leaders. Set in a forest, within the Mweelrea and 12 Bens mountain ranges and close to the Atlantic Coast, the club enjoyed a series of activities that included rock climbing, archery, zip wire and a forest walk. All involved had a great weekend of activity, fun, enjoyment and friendship. They stayed in the centre the Saturday night and travelled home the Sunday morning. Donegal No Name Club would like to take the opportunity to thank staff at the centre for their help and hospitality. Images of the weekend are now available to view here.
