Charities benefit from Ring of Hook fundraiser

Ring of Hook No Name Club has raised over €2,000 for charity after it pushed a bed along a 21 kilometre stretch of road and beach. 20 Hosts and Hostesses and adult committee leaders participated in the fundraising drive on Sunday, June 5th that saw a bed being pushed from Ring of Hook lighthouse, onto Fetherd on Sea, and then to the town of Duncannon. Through sponsorship and collections on the road, the club collected over €2,000 for St Louis Daycare Centre in Ramsgrange and Down Syndrome Ireland.  The bed pushing fundraiser is something Ring of Hook has been involved in for a number of years and local charities benefit from the generosity of the club. The local Gardaí were on hand to support the club for what was a very succesful fundraising event. Pictures from the event can now be viewed below and by clicking here.
