Calling Mayo bookworms

The No Name Club is embarking upon an exciting initiative and competition with Mayo County Council. The local authority’s library department is actively working to cater for the interests of teenagers within their branches and is turning to No Name Club members for help in this regard. No Name Clubs in Mayo are being asked to suggest up to three titles they feel should be in their local library. These books may have been read by the teenager or may be what they want to read in the future. Mayo County Council hopes the iniatitive will allow the teenagers to feel a greater sense of ownership of their local library. Entries can be e-mailed to Edith Geraghty, No Name Club Training Officer, at or you can text them to 086 0820266. Please include the titles and authors of the books, your name and your club. All entries will be entered into a raffle and at least three prizes are on offer of a selection of books and the winning entries will also be invited to the launch of the book selection.
